The moment we met to where we are now, we have done everything completely unconventionally. We didn’t start dating officially for a few months. Justin would ask me if I wanted to be his girlfriend, I’d say no. As the months went on, we had gone on several dates. Out of all of them, the most memorable date we had was taking my son Elliot to the aquarium. It was at that moment that I knew the answer to his question had to change from no to yes.
On July 8th, 2015, we finally made it official. We can honestly say we would never in a million years have thought we would have accomplished or even be where we are today.
A year shortly after we began dating, we welcomed our first son Jacob. It was an interesting first couple of years. We are both complete opposites of one another and had to learn how to work as one. As the years went on, we grew up just a tad and learned that those opposite characteristics that made us so different from one another made us work better together.
A couple years later, we purchased our first home, welcomed our baby girl Emma and puppy Indy to our family. It was a very busy year for us! Our family grew from just 3 to 6! We have always considered ourselves “husband and wife”, not by paper but by our growth together and our commitment to one another. As our children grew and we continued to strive for our goals, we decided it was time to really make it official and change my last name. We are very excited to enter this new chapter in our lives and officially be husband and wife!
